I understand. Life is full of twists and turns that sometimes lead to unexpected tragedies; leaving you to feel all alone in moments of grief and despair. These tragedies can weigh heavy on your marriage, your career, your home-life. These tragedies can with down your daily well being too. It can be frightening and uncertain. I know, because I’ve been there. I understand.

Although, I can never claim to be in your shoes, I too have dealt with tragedy and despair. It may seem “undoable” or “too much” at the moment but there is hope and I am here to tell you, you are not alone.

I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist who works with a variety of people. From couples who’s relationships are struggling greatly, to individuals suffering from trauma and anxiety. Your experiences are unique to you and I’m grateful to hear your story and help you to make sense of it.

Relationships are tough. Married or not, getting to know your partner in a way that is genuine, intimate and affectionate rarely comes naturally. Relationships always need work. Sometimes, they need more work than we expected, leaving us to wonder if this is "normal" or even healthy. There is hope whenever you are intentional enough to work on the things that need work. You may also be reading this feeling completely lost and doubtful you’ll find answers. But that’s okay. Healing can seem distant, but with time, effort and hope; healing can be found.

Much like the many traumatic events that may be taunting our relationships, they typically weigh the heaviest on ourselves. As someone who has worked with many people including, veterans, young adults, mothers, fathers, sisters and brothers, I have seen trauma manifest differently in the lives of different people. It can be the source of your anxiety, your stress, your depression, etc. Worst of all, it could feel as though it will negatively affect your life forever.

Perhaps you wish to understand yourself more, hoping you will learn how you can best work through trauma. Maybe you’re reading this with a sliver of hope that change can happen in your life. Or maybe you just want someone to listen to your story because you aren't quite sure where else to begin. I know that reaching out for help is tough. You may be reading this and asking yourself if you should take the first step. Yes, you should, and I am here to simply take it with you.

Please contact our office to set up a free 20-minute phone consultation prior to making your first appointment. I look forward to speaking with you soon. Contact me here.

Sincerely,
austin-sig
