We are convinced that God has a purpose for our marriages. Our marriages should cause us (sometimes force us) to be more like Him, so that we can reflect His glory through our marriages to our families and the friends around us.

It sounds simple enough in theory, but in practice it's a whole different story. We are selfish, sinful, and impatient. And that's just for starters! We often don't even know what a God-centered marriage should look like. Maybe you came from a broken home, like both of us did, and you never had a Christian marriage modeled in your home. The great news is that you don't have to stumble around in darkness and try to figure marriage out on your own.

The Bible has much to say about marriage and we certainly should start there. Your pastor has likely taught on this many times. Further, every couple should have marriage mentors. This is a couple who is likely older and has been married longer than you. It could be your parents, someone in your community group, or simply someone you look up to who you know will give sound wisdom and advice whenever you need it. God gave us community for a reason and to trying to figure marriage and life out completely on our own can be foolish!

Also, we do have a lot of FREE and useful resources here on our website. if you look at the links in the footer at the bottom of this page, you will see several of those resources. Our Tandem Marriage blog features lots of 5-10 minute articles that will help to guide and encourage you on your journey. You will also find a "Common Questions" web page that answers some of the most commonly asked questions we get asked about counseling.

We would also like to point out the "I Need Help With…" link under the MENU above. It's a great place to start if you or someone you know is struggling with something right now. You can click any topic on that page to learn more about that topic as well as links to our counselors profile pages who specialize in that area of counseling.

Lastly, please don't ever hesitate call us at (909) 255-1250. One of our staff will answer the phone and will offer whatever help, encouragement, or direction you need. Further, you will always be given the opportunity to connect with one of our counselors who is the best fit for you in your current situation. Most counseling agencies use a one-size-fits-all approach to your needs, we have our staff specially trained in specific areas to meet you where you are and help you work through things to get back on your feet quicker.

We are truly humbled that God can and does use us to serve the needs of His people in the Inland Empire.

  • Church Staff
    We want to help the staff at area churches care for your precious church family in the best way you can. To do that here is some information that will be helpful when you need to call on us.
    Finding the best fit.
    We have worked hard to train our staff in specific areas of specialty. Additionally, we have trained our client ambassadors to help match a person's need with that specialty. This means it will usually be best to have your church member call our office themselves so that we can match them up with the best fit from among our staff. If you feel the need to refer someone to a specific counselor, your best bet would be to talk to one of our client ambassadors first at 909-255-1250 so we can be on the same page.
    Financial responsibility.
    If you decide to help someone with the cost of counseling, utilizing our Gift Cards as a form of payment is your best option.

    If we did not have gift cards as an option for our team of licensed professional counselors, there would be many confidentiality hurdles for us before we could even talk to you about a current client. This includes several signed forms that need to be on file before any of this can even be discussed. This can all be avoided through the use of our gift cards.

    When buying a gift card as a means to help someone with payment for counseling, it also gives another point of accountability. This added accountability would be between you, as the giver of the gift card, and the client who is receiving help from our staff. You can find more detail about gift cards here.
    Personal responsibility.
    We are all in ministry (you are and so are we) because we love God and His people. It is very normal to see someone who is broken and want so much for them to find the healing, joy, and peace that God offers. BUT, it will always work the best if you can hand someone over to us so that we can care for them. In other words, if you have agreed to pay for some counseling (or referral only) and have given them our contact info, the best thing you can do is encourage them to take the first step and call us. They need to take ownership of this step and call our office for their own benefit. Once they have reached out to us, we will do everything we can to get them the help they need from there. There are certain confidentiality guidelines that can get pretty complicated otherwise.
    We are here to serve and assist.
    Our area of expertise at Restoration Counseling Service is professional clinical counseling and we do this better than anyone else in the Inland Empire. Yes, that is a bold and accurate statement that we have worked hard to accomplish.

    We do not teach the Bible to our clients. To be clear, it is not our place to teach doctrine or theology; therefore, we will send your people back o you with those kinds of questions. If you or someone on your church staff, on the other hand, ever has a question for us, please don't hesitate to call us. If you are not sure about something, start by calling one of our client ambassadors at 909-255-1250. They will either have an answer to your question or will know who to direct your question to. One of our core values is that we do not let people fall through the cracks. This includes both church staff and those under their care!
