Are you feeling unloved in your relationship? Feeling misunderstood by your spouse? You may feel like nothing you do is good enough? Or like life is completely out of control? You are not alone. Though it may seem like your friends, coworkers, family members (and counselors!) have it all together, the truth is that they too are going through their own difficulties. Part of the human condition is to encounter suffering. To be human also means restoring what is broken and making meaning out of the worst conditions.
It is incredibly easy to put on the facade that everything is fine. In fact, it may be something that you learned to do a long time ago to protect yourself from the pain of the world. As an associate marriage and family therapist, I am here to say that it is okay to admit that you are struggling. I am also here to step with you into the pain you are experiencing. To be a non-judgmental third party; a safe place while we navigate toward a life that is full of hope, purpose and authenticity.
I have had extensive training and experience working with couples and marriages dealing with relationship issues such as: lack of communication, absence of intimacy, parenting disagreements, impending divorce, infidelity, and serious illnesses. In addition to restoring relationships, I also work with individuals and adolescents on anxiety, depression, codependency, self-esteem, family conflict and identity formation. Each of these issues is challenging, but you do not have to let these symptoms rule your relationships or define your life.
Whether you are an individual, couple or family, I am committed to working with you in healing the pain you are experiencing and breaking the patterns and cycles in your life that are robbing you of the hope and joy that you deserve. Together, we can confront your difficulties so that you can live the life you want to live. It does not mean the work will be easy, but it most certainly will be worth it.
It would be an honor and a privilege to work with you. Please contact our office to set up a free 20 minute phone consultation prior to making your first appointment. I look forward to taking this journey with you. Contact me here.
