You’ve been feeling it for a while. This ick, this anxiety, this feeling that something needs to change. On the surface, your life looks okay but underneath, you feel like you’re treading water. Your internal world feels restless and hard to navigate and it’s hard for you to remember the last time you truly felt “at peace” and whole.
What makes this worse is that this feeling is a reoccurring theme. Perhaps you can tie it back to a specific event or a culmination of events from your past. Patterns or pain from the past can cast undesirable shadows on the present and rob us from the future we want for ourselves and our families. It's not uncommon to get stuck in these unhelpful, repetitive cycles.
In theory, you know your life could be different, but it’s been hard to figure out how to change on your own. You’ve read the recommended books and listened to the podcasts. It seems like you’re doing all the “right things”. This only adds to your frustration because it hasn’t seemed to help. You aren’t exactly sure what you need next, whether that’s a therapist, coach, psychiatrist, or a psychologist. You just know you need something, and you’re tired of waiting to fully engage with life around you.
Change is possible. I’m a mental health therapist in Redlands, CA, and I help my clients identify and dismantle unhelpful ways of thinking and relating to themselves and others as they navigate some of the most difficult times of their lives. My clients gain more compassion, awareness and confidence throughout our work together and leave with a greater sense of clarity and peace.
I have many tools and strategies at my disposal and the intuition to help direct you towards healing & wholeness. I collaborate with my clients to figure out what makes the most sense for them and their specific situation. Some of my experience has been with trauma, anxiety and stress, depression, grief and loss, career issues, life transitions, and marriage counseling. While therapy can look different for everyone, here are some things I strive to bring to each session- compassion, understanding, curiosity, safety, guidance, direction.
My Christian faith also shapes how I understand and approach my work. I love the privilege of including your faith in our work together. However, if you do not identify as a Christian, that is not a problem. I see clients from a variety of backgrounds and faith traditions.
I know it can feel like a big step to call a counselor, so I try and make it as easy as possible. We’ll spend 15-minutes on the phone and I’ll let you know how, or if, I can help. If I am not the right person, I will do my best to get you to the right person. You’ve been dealing with this on your own for long enough.
Please contact our office to set up a free phone consultation prior to making your first appointment. I look forward to speaking with you soon. Contact me here.
